Course Description
This 5 Day / 45 Hour intensive review course is designed for radiology and nuclear medicine residents looking to acquire board certification. The course includes review lectures with detailed Audio/Visuals, lecture handouts for each topic, practice examinations to be reviewed with lecturers topic discussions, questions and answers and problem solving strategies.
Daily Program Syllabus
Day 1: General Radiation Physics & Relevant Math Concepts, Nuclear Medicine Physics: Radioactivity, Regulation, and Safety, Non-Imaging Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic Radiology: Exam Review
Day 2: X-ray Generators and Radiographic Techniques, Film / Screen Radiography and Image Quality, Fluoroscopy, Digital Imaging, PACS, Fluoro / Exam Review
Day 3: Ultrasound, Ultrasound Exam Review, Interaction of Radiation with Matter, Radiobiology
Day 4: Imaging instrumentation in NM - Gamma Camera, SPECT, PET, Exam Review: Nuclear Medicine, Radiobiology/ Exam Review , MRI with Exam Questions
Day 5: X-Ray CT, CT Exam Review, Mammography, Radiation Protection and Shielding, Exam Review: All Subjects
